Celete was born and raised in rural Michigan, but developed a love for travel after visiting her father’s home country of Nigeria in 2008. Since then she has lived in six states and four countries across four continents. An avid traveler and lover of adventure, Celete has visited 26 countries and 41 states.
As a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and Newcastle University, Celete’s early career focused in the international development space before pivoting into community & events centered work. With each career move, from running a guesthouse in Haiti to teaching English with the Peace Corps in Thailand, to program management in the edtech space in Washington DC, Celete has always been passionate about doing mission-driven work.
Now, with nearly ten years of experience as a community builder and event strategist, Celete has made a career out of planning and curating experiences. The same skills that pull off an incredible event are the same ones that craft an unforgettable travel itinerary.
When she’s not traveling, Celete can be found binging Survivor with her partner, Ro, and her giant Bernese Mountain dog, Benji, or reading the latest book on the top of her TBR list.
